Jos\u00e9 Guadalupe Rojas Brise\u00f1o<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Rojas-Brise\u00f1o got his Ph. D from the \u201cInstituto de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ciencias B\u00e1sicas y Aplicadas, Universidad Aut\u00f3noma del Estado de Morelos (UAEM)\u201d, working in excitonic states in cubic nitride alloys. His bachelor’s and master’s in physics were obtained at \u201cUnidad Acad\u00e9mica de F\u00edsica, Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Zacatecas (UAZ)\u201d, studying the Frobenius Formulae for the inversion of large matrices and nonlinear optics on AlGaAs\/GaAs delta quantum wells, respectively. He has been in two postdoctoral research stays at UAZ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He joined the 2DMRG in 2020, studying the conductance, spin-valley polarization, and magnetoresistance in silicene structures. The main goal of his project within the 2DMRG is to assess low-dimensional structures that can the basis to improve the spin-valley polarization and magnetoresistive properties of 2D materials. Moreover, temperature, disorder, and non-collinear magnetization effects can limit the performance of spin-valley polarization and magnetoresistive low-dimensional devices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
